As of 5/20/25, Ovaettr Art – a Denton, TX pop up art shop vendor – as an entity is expanding to be known as Ovaettr Art & Zine Distro from today forward. The change reflects the independent studio’s upgrade of a black and white Canon printer. Orion Fern will be using this new printer to create zines, stickers & more in-house. Distributing not only his own zines but also queer and/or anarchist zines created by other people. His work also includes hopepunk art prints, buttons, keychains and comics.
In all his work, he seeks to use art as a means of helping us imagine what is possible.

Committed to building a better world through ‘ARTivism,’ (inspired by queer art hero Keith Haring) the distro serves the community with a completely free table full of educational zines, COVID Cautious Kits (masks, tests, info zines), Know-Your-Rights Cards for ICE Interactions in Spanish/English, NARCAN + Instructional Zines, Fentanyl Test Kits & Info Zines, Safe Sex Contraceptive Supplies & Plan B.
The distro commits to doing PUBLIC ART and ZINE DROPS twice a month around the Denton, TX area at Little Free Libraries & Pantries, providing queer anarchist educational material and fun art zines for the community to enjoy.

Ovaettr Art & Zine Distro is a queer, feminist, anti-racist, anti-fascist and trans-led small business committed to helping build a better world through the act of self-publishing and distributing zines, along with teaching how to do so yourself. Education is freedom. Rooted in Paganism and
following the Call of Nature and Love, Ovaettr seeks to defend freedom, truth, and the Earth
along with all lives deemed “monstrous” by far-right fascists worldwide.
We are focused on building a community and temple-like space that heals people
through shared creativity and learning how to find your own voice.

Hi everyone! I am so happy to announce this change officially and be functioning as what we feel assured is our calling for our business. To be a Art and Zine Distro! In doing so we really hope we can help bring joy to the world. I want to use my access to a black and white printer to print lots of helpful zines, not only my own work but like mentioned above a lot of zines that help make the work a better place.
A lot of what I’ve been doing professionally in 2025 has been surrounding my zines and comics work, so I wanted to hone in on the moment with zines seeing a resurgence. As we face down the fascist state we live in and endure the pain of in The United States currently, zines ARE crucial in the moment and will be for what I feel like will be the better part of the next decade from 2025 – 2035. Everyone has something they know about, and zines are a liberating pathway to building your own voice. I think we should all have the skills to self-publish and MAKE ZINES in the age of too much screen time, Generative AI flooding our society while draining enough water to parch us all in years to come, and obscenely authoritarian fascist government overreach.
Not only that, zines are an avenue to maintain and archive information that is underground or under-represented in mainstream media. Things like LGBTQ+ information from safe sex guides to HIV+ information built community for people living with AIDS and was spread during the crisis through self-published pamphlets and zines you can view on QZAP. These were lifesaving publications and the practice is needed knowledge for communities in society that were and continue to be abandoned by their governments.
Nowadays in the year of 2025 we see that Trump and his administration are dead-set on erasing transgender people from all public life. This is a threat to our very lives and the maintaining of our history. There have been swift concerted efforts to erase the T from the Stonewall Monument and organization, removing HIV+ and LGBTQ+ information from government websites – especially studies pertaining to LGBTQ+ youth and mental wellness reports that confirm the act of affirming your child’s gender(s) and/or lack thereof benefits mental health.
We can fight back. We can help. We can do something. And we are going to help you do the same too!
People have power! There is power in self-publishing! And I’m going to teach you how!
Thank you for your support at any point in my journey. I cherish the community I’ve been able to meet and all the friends and family members I know who have uplifted my art since the start. I hope to give back in kind and help the world.
